The Honda Celebration of Light is approaching, set to illuminate English Bay on July 20th, 24th, and 27th. The celebration starts with Portugal, followed by Malaysia and ends with the United Kingdom.
Portugal, Team Macedos Pirotecnia, has been in the Portuguese pyrotechnics industry for over 89 years. The family’s journey began in 1934 with Joaquim da Silva Macedo, who passed down his knowledge, techniques, and methods to his son and grandchildren. Today, they continue to uphold and expand upon this proud legacy, employing modern methods and expanding nationally and internationally in pyrotechnics markets and competitions, proudly representing their country’s rich history.
Malaysia, Team Pyro Tact, started as a group of young, part-time workers driven by curiosity and a passion for pyrotechnics, sparking a remarkable journey. Their story began with humble beginnings and a dream ignited by their skills, eventually catching the attention of their nation. They went on to represent their country in prestigious fireworks competitions and major events across Asia. From their modest start, Sulen, Jeffry, Syukri, and Faishal have continued to shine brightly on the international stage, creating breathtaking fireworks spectacles that illuminate the world.
United Kingdom, Team Pyrotex Fireworx, is renowned worldwide for its originality and ability to evoke pure emotion through its shows. They have the ability to immerse themselves in each event, channeling all their energy to deliver performances that aim to move you to tears of joy. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology and software, they design both traditional and pyromusical firework displays. Their unique design expertise and advanced technical capabilities allow them to push boundaries and craft skyward masterpieces that captivate and inspire.
