March 8th is International Women’s Day. It’s a global day to recognize and celebrate women’s social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. It’s also a time to raise awareness of the progress made towards achieving gender equality and the work remaining to be done. International Women’s Day is a day of unity, celebration, reflection, advocacy, and action and is celebrated in many countries worldwide.
The West End BIA is marking International Women’s Day, March 8, by recognizing many member businesses owned and operated by women. International Women’s Day serves as an important reminder of the need to support and empower women entrepreneurs and business leaders. Women-owned and women-led businesses bring unique perspectives, innovations, and economic growth opportunities to their communities and beyond, and we wanted to take this time to shine a light on some of the amazing women-owned businesses in the West End.
