With give-away prizes, pop-up art installations, and small businesses joining in the February fun, we know you’re going to fall in love with the West End all over again. It’s time to Love Your City with abandon!

Small businesses are the heartbeat of our vibrant West End shopping areas. Our merchants, service providers, and community organizations show their love for their customers, clients, neighbours, and friends every day. In February, we’re turning up the heat for a local lovefest.
We’ve talked to your favourite restaurant down the street, where diners are treated like family. And the pub manager on the corner who considers patrons as friends visiting his 100-seat living room. Our West End hoteliers, health spas, coffee shops, dry cleaners, dentists, green grocers — they all have love and appreciation spilling out for you! Customer, client, business owner, friend — our neighbourhood’s heart beats because the loving vibes are flowing.
Find a Love Letter or Win a Special Gift
This month, West End businesses are being featured in the city-wide Love Your City page on Instagram. Thousands of dollars in prizes are being given away in loving appreciation. This is your chance to take a look at new businesses in the ‘hood, who’s thinking about you, who’s showing the love. Check out the prize entry details on Instagram.
As well, pop-up art installations have been lovingly placed around the West End, to delight and surprise. Watch for colourful mailboxes with love letters inside. You can pass along a note to your special Valentine. Look for heart-themed decals and love-bombed street signs. Local artists, the WKNDRS, have a larger-than-life Love Your City installation at Jim Deva Plaza on upper Davie.
The West End is where love flows from Robson shopping to Denman restaurants to Davie nightlife. Of course, don’t forget those romantic West End classics: seawall strolls, Stanley Park trails, and English Bay sunsets!
