About the Lumière Festival: The Lumière Festival transforms Vancouver’s public plazas and iconic cultural spaces into luminous outdoor art galleries, celebrating light, creativity, and community during the winter season. Featuring small to large-scale light-based art installations, projections and performances across the West End, Gastown, and Downtown Vancouver, Lumière invites everyone to explore the city after dark and experience it in a whole new light.

Event Details:

When: November 13-16, 2025 | 5:00 – 9:30 pm
Where: Jim Deva Plaza + 1800 Davie Plazas (West End), Blood Alley Square (Gastown), šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square, 800 Robson Plaza + Robson Square Skating Rink (Downtown)

The West End is shining bright with two festival hubs this year.

At Jim Deva Plaza, curated by The EggArts Society, visitors can experience DecaDance, a ten-sided mirrored pavilion with a spinning LED pole, plus much more including an interactive crafting station (Thursday to Saturday, 5:30–8pm).
At 1800 Davie Plaza, Melanie Lazelle of The Wilder Experience will transform the space into Memories of Colour, a glowing oceanscape celebrating the beauty of the sea and our connection to the living world.
