Andrew Haydock is Marketing and Promotions Manager at Celebrities. We asked him for the inside scoop on the world-famous musicians who’ve played the room over the decades. “We’ve platformed Avicii from Sweden, Skrillex from the States, and Canada’s own deadmau5. Way back, Jimi Hendrix rocked the house and the Grateful Dead helped make us legendary. Our venue’s capacity is 600 and we know how to get the party going,” Haydock said.
The nightclub’s layout features two long bars. International artists and local promoters are booked Thursday through Saturday and Sundays on long weekends. On Tuesdays, the ever-popular student and industry night offers a break on cover charges. Group reservation tables come with dedicated serving staff, private bottles, and skip the queue access. Celebrities’ year-round events include top-notch LGBTQ+ programming for Pride weekend — a tribute and thank you to the West End’s unique history and the club’s prominent spot in Davie Village.
Pumping Entertainment to the World
“A couple of years ago, City Hall declared November 14th Celebrities’ Day, to recognize the role we’ve had in the city’s entertainment culture,” Haydock continued. “The dance floor’s always been our focus, but the club morphed through quite a few genres over the decades. We renovated completely a few years ago and our contemporary ambiance lets us focus on welcoming everyone with a wide range of music, great bands, and up-and-coming artists. Early evenings feature local music and events — and from 10pm to closing, we’ve got the hottest show in town. We’re intimate, but rocking — we’re proud of Celebrities’ unique position in Vancouver’s music scene. We’ve got it all — VIP tables, group reservations, preferred treatment through our guest list, and bar service feeding the party pulse.”
Celebrities is known for its corporate and private bookings, with an ideal venue set-up for bespoke event success. Private events receive security services, bartending, entry ID scanning, and coat check.
