We talked to Devin Delany, the second generation of the Delany family to steer this local success story. “We love being located in communities that are tight-knit. We all need coffee and a great bite or meal, but we wanted to add that ‘secret ingredient.’ We want to create the warm, homey place that you love coming to. The place where friends gather, daily,” Delany told us.
Regulars have been coming to Delany’s for morning coffee for decades. “Our décor choices for each location are unique and specific to the feel of the neighbourhood. And, in our original location in the West End, our manager, Bertram, has been welcoming folks for twenty-five years! We create a place where customers want to visit, catch up, enjoy their stay — and where our staff loves their work,” Delany said.

Delany’s uses slow-roasted, low-acidity beans exclusively sourced through partnered Caffe D’arte. With small-batch wood and gas-fired roasters, Delany’s has the developed the ideal coffee for in-house fresh-brew and espresso. And their convenient 12-oz packs keep home-brewers nailing premium at-home espresso every time.
“We want to give our customers the best experience possible. That means a warm and welcoming, friendly atmosphere. And the best coffee available. All our beans are fair-trade and organic. We want everyone to have the same quality the Delany family has always expected. We made an early decision to have no freezers on-site. Our pastries, sandwiches, wraps — everything is fresh. And we have a strong, local supply chain that ensures freshness every day. Our cookies are baked in-store, adding that extra, comforting warmth,” Delany explained.
