Your Neighbourhood Pub Good Times
When you’re at the top of the hill on Robson, there’s a neighbourhood spot that’s been revitalized for a new era. The Jervis Joint sits on the corner of Jervis and Robson, with its notable conservatory-style glass windows and skylights. As part of the boutique Listel Hotel footprint, The Jervis Joint has friends, food, drinks, and entertainment fun close-at-hand.
Guinness On-Tap & a Classic IG-Friendly Bar Burger
Positioned as a popular “pints with pals” kind of pub, the location has a history of being a favourite neighbourhood haunt. In a new generation, it’s now a happening spot, with live entertainment on the weekends, a welcoming Irish-pub feel, a dartboard out back in an enclosed courtyard, and outdoor patio seating when the weather is good.
We asked General Manager, Mark Fitzgerald, what makes The Jervis Joint tick. “It’s hard to find an old-style pub with a solid friendly feel in our area of the West End. We’ve really focused on the history of The Jervis Joint — this place has always been known as a great spot for local, live music. We have everything from Irish bands to groups covering the classics, to sing-along favourites. It’s a rousing good time and we’re proud of this special feeling our team creates. We like to call it “cheap and cheerful” — and, believe me, our great price for Guinness on-tap is a huge draw for locals, all on its own!”
Best Burger in Town & Sports on Ten Screens
Burgers are the go-to menu item at The Jervis Joint. Sharing a kitchen and chef expertise with The Listel Hotel and its classy Forage restaurant means that this isn’t an average bar burger — it’s a best-in-class burger from its rave reviews on Instagram. “We have top-end connections for high-quality ingredients, excellent supplier pricing, and chef-quality recipes. Our poutine is to die for, and we pride ourselves in having an excellent cocktail selection. Our shot-on-the-side Pornstar Martini is very popular, as is our espresso martini which we affectionately call Bump,” Fitzgerald told us.
“We feature daily specials on our menu, as well as Happy Hour. In fact, on Tuesdays, we run our Happy Hour pricing all day!” Fitzgerald said. “Our menu has late night snacks, vegetarian and gluten-free options, and plates both large and small. There’s something mouth-watering for everyone. And beer, wine, cocktails, and shooters to pair with a great meal or a tableful of shared snacks.”
Bring the Whole Gang for a Good Time
One feature of the pub that is a bit of an unsung hero is the 30-person, Oktoberfest-style long-table. Plan a season wrap-up for your team or gather your crew to watch a game together on The Jervis Joint’s many big-screens.
Informal dartboard and shuffleboard competitions are an easy-to-arrange event you can coordinate with a few friends this weekend — or you can show up alone and know that there’s always great people and lots of fun brewing at The Jervis Joint.
