We visited with Rohan Fating, General Manager, to find out more about Sula’s expansive, beautifully decorated West End dining room. “Our Davie Street location has been an amazing success,” Fating said. “We’re consistently booked out for our popular Mango High Tea events, and our lunch and dinner menu keeps our loyal clientele coming back, over and over. It might be a romantic dinner with a Makara Highball, or a weekend brunch habit that’s become a much-appreciated part of life lived to the fullest. Our menu has so much to enjoy!”

“Our recipes weave time-honoured classics with contemporary twists,” Fating said. “Our 8-course tasting menu brings every region of India together in one amazing dining experience. We seat twice per evening and advance reservations are required. Starting with soup and street food specialities like Indian tacos and fritters, the meal moves to a smoked chicken entreé. Then a palate cleanser with cool mango sorbet — finally, chai and nutritious betel leaves for an authentic culinary adventure.”
“Our Kashmiri Lamb Chops are marinated in a regional saffron spice mix and served with Puneri mash potato,” Fating continued. “Our Royal Raj Kachori is a presentation wonder — it’s based on a street food specialty from northern India, with a crispy, hollow shell filled with tamarind and mint chutneys, sweet cardamom yogurt, potatoes, and chickpeas. The flavour combination is sublime. And our staff knows exactly which wine or cocktail pairs to the best effect.”
