High Energy Friends Everyday
Take a pub by day, a nightspot pushing dance tunes into the little hours of the morning, and add a cocktail lounge tucked away at the front — you’ve got the Junction Pub on Davie. In the heart of the West End’s queer entertainment scene, the Junction Pub’s got everything you need for a community pub feeling and a nightclub’s evening of entertainment.
There’s No Excuse for Being Bored at Home
Get your name on the guest list by emailing ahead and you’ll be whisked straight into the spot where Elderflower Sours and Espresso Martinis are flowing. Funktion One speakers have the tunes, from old school classic hits to queer anthems, as well as house and top-40, coming from live DJs. The dance floor is full and the inclusivity is total.
We asked General Manager, Byron Cooke, what makes the Junction Pub so beloved in the ‘hood. “We have a safe place for people to be real. We’re where the West End meets for a great cocktail, and we have a terrific selection of local and international draft beers. Our event evenings are legendary — we have drag shows, fundraisers, Latin themed nights. There’s always something terrific going on.”
Laughter, Cheers, Beer on Tap & You
Panko-crusted chicken strips, a plate of house-cut tortilla chips in fully-dressed nacho glory, highballs, cold cider, specialty cocktails — the menu of appies, entrees, and drinks has you covered. Big-screen projection and large-screen TVs keep the drag programs and games playing, plus awards show extravaganzas. The all-day Happy Hour on Mondays is legendary.
Cooke told us, “Our craft cocktails are amazing. We feature a pub menu, with classic burgers, fries, and mac ‘n cheese balls. We make our signature menu items in-house — fresh and delicious. For almost 15 years, we’ve been a special place for the community. Our regulars have become more than friends, more like family. Our menu focuses on ‘come again’ favourites, and we work hard to have entertainment options that are fresh and new. Sometimes it’s bingo or trivia, and our drag shows and queer improv are always a hit.”
Community Party, Every Night of the Week
The West End has a rich history of fostering the best kind of inclusive community. The Junction Pub is a fixture on the scene, at the top of the Davie Street hill, near Jim Deva Plaza. In the heart of the city’s queer entertainment zone, every night (and well into the early hours of the morning), there’s fun to be found.

Feel the vibes wash over you, as the drinks mellow the week’s worries away, and the laughs bubble with fun around you. Don’t wait for your new friends to come find you — step out, order a cocktail and a burger, and enjoy the best of the Junction Pub community tonight
