Annual Tourism Challenge

The Tourism Challenge returns! This fun program is a seasonal opportunity for staff and volunteers actively working in the tourism industry to explore local attractions and discover the unique neighbourhoods that make Vancouver the amazing place it is. The Tourism Challenge will run from April 19th to May 31st.

This year, we invite Tourism Challenge participants to explore our neighbourhood and complete the following scavenger hunt.

To earn your West End stamps, complete 2 of the following challenges:

  1. At the A-maze-ing Laughter sculpture, how many statues are there total?
  2. Visit lower Robson Street and look up, can you name the animal on the banners?
  3. On the “Precious Fruit” mural, what is the total number of fruits shown?

Next, make your way to one of our partnering businesses and give them your answers to receive your stamps!

We have 3 stamp locations to choose from:

  • Al Chile – 1340 Davie Street. Open Monday and Tuesday from 11:00am to 9:00pm, Wednesday from 11:30am to 9:00pm, Thursday to Saturday from 10:30am to 9:00pm and Sunday 11:00am to 8:30pm.
  • Peaked Pies – 975 Denman Street. Open daily from 8:00am to 9:00pm.
  • The Quick Nickel – 1736 Davie Street. Open Monday to Thursday from 10:00am to 6:00pm, Friday and Saturday from 10:00am to 7:00pm, Sunday from 11:00pm to 6:00pm.
